MTB - Couchons quickie - to prayer station - return through the cut throughs or via the track

Gently climb for 50 minutes off-road to the religious monument. Soak up the incredible views along the way.

  • 1,635ft of climbing, 8.4 miles, 1 hour 25 mins ride time
  • Follow this link to download the GPS tracklog
  • Suits: Beginner to Intermediates, gives an gentle introduction to downhilling

9.15pm WHAT A SUNSET! - Imagine the ride, the views and how good you would feel experiencing this! Uplifting, energizing. LIFE ROCKS! :-)

MTB - Courchons to hidden village and return via technical downhill descent

Gently climb for about 55 minutes off road to this old deserted village perched overlooking the lake. A quick glance at the map and you can see that the views are incredible. Suits intermediate to advanced rider. Extend this ride slightly by cycling to the beach for a cooling dip.

  • 1,500ft of climbing, 9.5 miles, 1 hour 30 mins ride time
  • Follow this link to download the GPS tracklog
  • Suits: Intermediates, gives an excellent taste of downhilling

MTB - Up to South facing paraglider launch site, return via demanding downhill

This is one of my favourite rides. Best completed early or late in the day especially during summer. The climb up to the South Paraglider launch is on tarmac road. Very steep in sections with views to die for. Below the South launch you bear left along a narrow single track trail and very technical decent over loose shale/flint. Definitely not for beginners. The trail continues through forestry single track with switch backs. Very exciting!

  • 2,000ft of climbing, 9.5 miles, 1 hour 30 mins
  • Follow this link to download the GPS tracklog
  • Suits: Advanced intermediates comfortable with strong downhill conditions
