Paramotor Holidays select FlyStAndre as their accomodation and base camp for their French paramotoring trip12 pilots guided by Simon Westmore and the team from Paramotor Holidays headed out from the UK to Saint Andre Les Alpes for some spring flying here in the Alps. - A cracking crowd. Conditions in early April were described as silky smooth, as pilots cruised snow-lined mountain ridges, took off and landed from the slope next to the house. (Never more than a minute away from tea.)
Pilots maxed out their flying time, learned lots and soaked up the incredible scenery and energy that makes St Andre such a meca for Hanglider and Paraglider pilots.
Many got to free fly without their motors in the buoyant, smooth evening air. Learning new skills, soaring and lightly thermalling. In the photo below you can see Paul doing very well on his Dudek.
We even managed to tandem paraglide with Neil a novice pilot, hopefully adding to his air experience as he flew the wing.
The atmosphere and energy here is addictive/enlightening when you get 12 people out super-charging a sport filled day in this kind of environment.
Paramotor pilots are very welcome here in Saint Andre Les Alpes. For your paramotoring holiday needs please give us a shout for your accommodation and support services. We can cater for groups up to 21 people. Our small 3 minute video from day 1 hopefully gives you a feel for the area and its incredivle potential. Come and stay with us soon.
